Josef Bromovsky
Chief Executive Officer - Co-Founder
Josef Bromovsky, the CEO of Algoma, has worked for some of the largest construction engineering companies worldwide. Originally a civil engineer, he then moved to be part of the technology team responsible for developing AI and ML tools to improve the productivity of the construction and engineering industry. Joe also has an MBA degree from Harvard Business School and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA). These skills give him a unique blend of engineering expertise and financial acumen. Joe’s passion for innovation and commitment to excellence drive him towards new, impactful solutions in the AEC sector.
Kyle MertensMeyer
Chief Product Officer - Co-Founder
Kyle MertensMeyer, Algoma’s CPO, is an award-winning AEC industry leader and entrepreneur with over 18 years of experience. Kyle has designed and managed a career total of 7.4 million square feet of built projects with a total asset value of over $1 billion in 9 countries and 37 cities while being recognized with more than 47 international awards and honors, including AEC 40 under 40. Kyle brings experience from two previous bootstrapped start-ups in design and digital services, where he led interdisciplinary teams across four continents. Kyle’s approach to product reinforces a throughline of sustainability, technology, and human-centered solutions. As Co-founder and CPO at Algoma, Kyle leads the strategy, design, and development of Algoma’s digital automation platform and repeatable zero-carbon building product for real estate developers. Kyle received his Master of Design Studies from Harvard.
Seyfihan Usarer
Chief Operating Officer - Co-Founder
Seyfihan Usarer is the Chief Operations Officer with a distinguished career that spans multiple industries and expertise. Before joining Algoma, Seyfihan was an Associate at McKinsey & Company, working across Europe, and later a member of the TikTok Monetization Strategy Team. As a trained lawyer and economist, Seyfihan has a deep understanding of both legal and economic frameworks. Notably, he led the reorganization of a 500+ property real estate portfolio and achieved over $15 million in cost savings through digital transformation initiatives. He brings operational excellence, strategy creation, and process management expertise to the team. Seyfihan holds a degree in Law and a Harvard MBA.
Wassim Alagha
Head of Computation
Wassim Alagha, the Senior Technologist and Head of Computation at Algoma, is a technical virtuoso. His portfolio showcases the development of sophisticated Revit Models and the implementation of top-tier digital delivery standards for various project typologies in the United States and the Middle East. He oversees the production of computational design-specific software, which automates workflows, increases efficiency, and reduces turnaround times. His extensive skillset and understanding of AI technology ensure the successful leadership of projects from concept to DD, seamlessly transforming conceptual massings into highly detailed LOD 400 BIM models. As an Art director, he has produced high-end visuals and animations for international design firms, transforming detailed models into interactive virtual walkthroughs. Wassim continues to push the boundaries of design through a blend of technical proficiency and creativity while adding to Algoma’s place as an industry leader.
William MacIntyre
Founding Software Engineer
Will is a seasoned engineering leader with a deep passion for building products that make an impact — whether that’s helping businesses modernize, making platforms more accessible, or pioneering new solutions with emerging tech. He brings a systems thinking approach to every challenge, drawing from a diverse background leading teams and shipping scalable, revenue-driving solutions. He has built everything from 3D modeling tools to learning management platforms and custom web applications, always driven by curiosity, a love of problem-solving, and a commitment to craft. Will is constantly looking for better ways to create meaningful user experiences and thoughtful engineering solutions. Off the clock, you’ll likely find him hitting the running trails, exploring new biking routes, or capturing moments through photography. A natural collaborator, Will thrives at the intersection of thoughtful engineering and purposeful impact.
Michael Caton
Head of Technology
Michael Caton, AIA, NOMA, is an architect and technology leader focused on transforming how the built environment is delivered through innovative business models and computational approaches. As Head of Technology at Algoma, he leads the development of software and tech-enabled services that help real estate developers make faster, more informed decisions while reducing costs. Previously, he served as Head of Technical Computing at Juno and led the architecture discipline for WeWork's enterprise team, pioneering new frameworks for vertically integrated project delivery. As an educator, he has held appointments at Columbia University's GSAPP, Pratt Institute, and the American University of Sharjah, where he helps emerging professionals envision new possibilities for practice. He was also a fellow in AIANY's inaugural Civic Leadership Program and serves on the AIANY Board of Directors.
Andy Lächler
Product Lead
Andreas Lächler is a designer and technologist focused on integrating computational tools and automation into architectural workflows. As Product Lead at Algoma, he develops digital solutions that enhance decision-making and streamline processes. Before joining Algoma, Andreas worked at Arquitectonica as an Associate Designer, contributing to large-scale multifamily residential projects. There, he helped implement AI-driven visualization tools and computational workflows to improve design efficiency. Prior to that, he gained experience in boutique firms, working across design phases from concept to schematic development. Andreas holds a Master of Architecture from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Lehigh University. His work focuses on the intersection of design, technology, and automation, bringing a research-driven approach to improving architectural and real estate workflows.
