Run your first analysis.
The fastest way to understand what Algoma does is to put your own property in. This guide walks through searching an address and reading the report — about 4 minutes start to finish. Studies are saved automatically; nothing to remember.
Step-by-step walkthrough
Pick any property — your own development site, your home, or anywhere you've been curious about. Algoma works for any US address.
Open Algoma and find the search bar
Sign in at app.algoma.co. The homepage opens with a large map and the property search bar in the middle. If you've analyzed properties before, your saved analyses appear below the map.
Enter a property address
Type the address — street, city, state. Suggestions appear as you type. Pick the right one and hit Analyze. Algoma generates the full property report in about 60 seconds.

Tip. If your address doesn't show up in the dropdown, try the parcel ID instead. You can find it on your county GIS portal.
Read the property overview
You land on the property's Summary view. The map shows the parcel highlighted in context. The right sidebar opens with Key Insights — Algoma's AI summary of the site (location and zoning, flood resilience, buildability, market viability, and so on).
Below Key Insights, the Summary dropdown surfaces parcel info, zoning, supply, and the housing/demographic snapshot (median household income, median rent, median home value).
Explore each section in the top nav
The top nav is your map of the property report. Click through each tab to see different angles on the site:
- Site — Summary, Mapping, Zoning, Capacity
- Market — Permits, Economics, Housing, Population
- Comps — Map, Table, Charts, and Cards (different views of the same comparable set)
- Connect — request additional architectural support from the Algoma team
- Export — generate the PDF or CAD output when you're done
Studies are saved automatically as you work — there's no save button to remember. When you're ready to share or hand off, just hit Export.
What's next? The platform tour is the fastest way to learn what each section does.
